I previously blogged an intro for Foltene's Eyelash & Eyebrow Treatment and as promised, I'm back with a proper review and to show the results.

To refresh your memory, here are the set of pictures from first application. An immediate result of thicker and longer lashes!

I had originally used it for about a week or so, but then i fell sick and stopped using it. Therefore I wanted to re-use it for about 2 weeks before giving the proper review, which is this post here now.

I really enjoyed using it because just after simply a week or so, I found that whenever i went out without mascara my lashes would look long enough (:. For someone that really loves having long and lush lashes, this was indeed quite a feat for me. (In this picture i only had on a light coat of mascara on my lower lashes)

The tube is relatively small, and contains 10ml of the eyelash serum. You can also use this on your eyebrows, but since i was 'blessed' (or cursed) with thick brows, there simply isn't a need for me to use it that way. The way this dries is different from the other eyelash serums that I've used before (this dries really quickly and creates a sort of film that holds up the lash very well) so this can be a good clear 'mascara' to keep your brows in place as well

The brush is like that of a simple mascara wand, and allows you to comb through your lashes. With bristles of different length, you can easily brush it through both your upper and lower lashes. Also, as mentioned by the sponsor : you only need to comb it about 2x along your lashes to fully coat them ^^.

I also noticed that this serum makes for a very good mascara base, as it nearly lengthens and thickens the lashes immediately. Here are some comparison pictures for you guys. I didn't edit the pictures at all sans using auto-contrast to ensure that the lighting is constant and fair in all pictures.

The lashes' difference looks more apparent if i curled it beforehand but as you can see, my lashes do look thicker and more obvious.

The lengthening effect is more obvious in real life as it kinda creates 'transparent fibres' that lengethen the ends of your lashes. You can definitely see it when it reflects light (in this case, more apparent on lower lashes)!

This is definitely one of my HG eyelash serum. Who doesn't like longer lashes, right? The serum is easy to use and lets you have longer lashes both with and without makeup. Simply use it twice a day (before and after bed. If wearing makeup, before makeup. I recommend you curl it prior to mascara as well and wait for it to dry before applying) and this 10ml is enought to last you for a long time.

I also made him Nutella Chocolate Truffles for Valentine's Day, but that'll be in another post when i get the time to do another random post :P.

Hey guys! I'm back after slacking off for a week and here's the first post for February - My January Favourites.
I've actually piled up quite a few reviews to do but I haven't got to doing them yet because I'm slacking at home in otaku mode *_*. Okay, moving along..

What tops the list for my January Favourites has got to be my recently purchased blush. I've been wearing it everytime I'm wearing makeup since I got it, and have no intention of changing it soon.

Sleek Blush in Rose Gold

Often known as the dupe for Nars Orgasm, this blush has a pinky colour with gold shimmer. I've been searching for a blush like this for quite awhile now and I'm very glad to say i made the great choice of buying this. The colour suits me perfectly and the way the finely milled shimmer hits and reflects the light is really flattering on the skin. Not too shimmery and gives my skin a nice glow. The blush is pigmented as well (you only need a little, and can build the colour) and lasts on my face all day! *inserts angelic music as i usher this into my holy grail list*

Next up is actually something that my sister gave to me, M.A.C's bronzing powder.

This colour matches my skin tone well, is easy to work with, and blends out easily on the face. I like to use it to contour my face and sometimes lightly along my nose bridge as well. The colour has a warm under tone.

Following that, Kose Seikisho White Mask (and ironically the mask is black..)

I remember previously when browsing for beauty products with Himeko and Tsuriki, i remember that Himeko told me that this mask is really good. It's a peel off mask that's supposed to help 'remove dirt and impurities to thoroughly clean skin and enhance translucency of your skin'. I for one am a big fan of peel-off masks simply because they're easier to remove (rather than washing it off you face which usually takes quite awhile) and you can see the pieces of dirt that's clogging up your pores on the mask after removing. What i really liked about this mask was that even though it doesn't hurt when peeling off, i can feel (and see) that my face (even tried it on B) is alot cleaner, and alot of the clogged pores that i never managed to get out using pore packs were out. The only down side is that it is a little pricey.

Skin79 Vital BB Cream
Will be reviewing this properly soon. This BB cream gives light~medium coverage which looks really natural on skin. Not to mention it has an SPF protect of 50PA+++!

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer

On days when I don't want to wear foundation/BB cream and have marks/redness that BB cream can't cover, this is my go-to concealer. It covers up everything well and blends into the skin almost seemlessly. Plus, it has a barely-there feeling which feels really nice on (or not) skin.

Foltene Eyelash & Eyebrow Treatment
Will be reviewing this properly soon as well! Not only does it lengthen and thicken my lashes, it also holds my lashes' curls on days where i don't put makeup :3.

Skin79 Simple Touch Eyeliner

Again, will be reviewing this soon! This has been my staple eyeliner ever since i started using it last year. One thing about it is that the colour is not as pigmented as i thought it would be.

L'Oreal Professionnel Couleur Botanique and Richie Macadamia range

I can't even get started on how great both products smell. The reason they made it to my favourites list for Jan is because both products leave me leaving the bathroom with silky smooth hair - no kidding. Plus, the couleur botanique really refreshes the colour of my dye!

L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil

I don't even know where to begin for this hair oil. It smells great, is multi purpose, and leaves my hair sooooo smooth and managable! When my perms were still curly, I never did comb through them and ever since i started using this, this has been my solution to all my hair owes. Frizzy? Mythic Oil. Dry? Mythic Oil. Heat Protectant? Mythic Oil. UV Protectant? Mythic Oil. Tangled? Mythic Oil. Definitely a Holy Grail product!

Balayage Dye at Salon Vim

If you're following my Facebook page, you'd have known that i recently got my hair re-dyed. I got it dyed around last week, at Salon Vim by Chez Vous which was located at 313.

I arrived at Salon Vim on a Thursday evening for the appointment and throughout my time there, the Salon went from having many seats available to completely filled.

Since it was my first time going to the salon, I was asked to fill up a form which will have my particulars and information about what treatment I've done (or am doing) for their records. Something like a clinic. This will help facilitate the stylists on what treatment/colour you've done previously because I'm sure that there are people like me that tend to forget! Also, it records your last visit, how convenient! (Be sure to book an appointment before going because the Salon is busy most of the time.)

My stylist was Ymond (senior stylist), and before the actual dyeing began, I had a consultation period with him. Initially I wanted to get a dip dye and I even had a picture to show him to let him get a better vision of the hair colour i wanted, but because my hair got quite thin after perming, he suggested to do the base dye and then highlight the ends instead of a full-on colour. I wasn't picky on the colour but i told Ymond that I preferred ash-y colours as opposed to reddish colours, and that he can just pick the colour that he thinks will flatter my skin best. He gave me a good recommendation and I went with it, and left the colour of the highlight entirely up to him because I was positive that i was in good hands.

My treatment (and i think dye as well) were done using L'Oreal Professionnel products.

Just like any dyeing process goes, my hair was sectioned and the dye was applied to my hair first. Ymond left the dye on for awhile before touching up my roots for me.

The dye for my roots was left on for a shorter period of time and felt a little spicy (but definitely tolerable). It was then that i realised that my scalp is sensitive after Ymond told me so.

My highlights were actually achieved by using this product from L'Oreal Professionnel, which allows your hair/dye colour to be lightened up to a maximum of 5 shades. Similar to bleach, but not as harsh or strong because for those of you who bleaches your hair, you'd know that bleach can make the hair colour very very light.

And.. highlighting the ends and my fringe..

Unlike the "steamers" (i don't know the exact term for the machine) i've encountered previously, this didn't feel warm at all! Not that it wasn't working, but the heat was only in the area of the "helmet" and didn't scorch me in the least bit. What kind of sorcery is this!!

After washing the dye out, it's treatment time, with my hair wrapped in cling wrap again.

There are two types of treatments that are available for coloured/highlighted hair. I got the one for the coloured hair done.

Salon Vim provides a wide variety of treatments, from damage therapy to scalp treatments. Will probably be getting one done when i go back to get my roots touched up!

After that, i got my hair blown out and tonged. The only downside to the process is that my curls became really flat. Ymond did inform me of this prior to the dyeing process, but i said it didn't mind hahaha. Curls are really high maintenance!

Here's a closer look for the colours~

Although Salon Vim might be slightly more expensive than other salons outside, I'm glad to say it's definitely worth that extra bit of money to pamper yourself (and your hair). The decor of the place is really minimalist and the salon is kept very clean. Plus, the earth tone colours made me feel very relaxed. My favourite part of the dyeing process was that the dyes that were used on my hair contained no ammonia (I doubt that there's anyone that likes the smell of ammonia), therefore during the treatment and when I left the salon, I didn't smell a tract of ammonia. For some reason, I really liked the smell of the dye/treatment that lingered on my hair hahaha.
I left the salon with nothing but praises to my sister who was with me throughout the whole 3 1/2 hours I was there for. One thing's for sure, I'm definitely going back there, because pampering ourselves once every month or two is something that everyone is definitely entitled to :P.

Back in December last year, I received an email from Renaza Lifestyle (the company that sponsored me for the Elicina Snail Cream review) to review their Kimia Facial System (which i will be reviewing soon), as well as an enclosed invitation for me to go for a facial at one of their stores that are currently providing the Kimia Facial.

I decided to call them up and book an appointment about 3 weeks ago because my skin went havoc. My pores were clogged, i was breaking out especially around my forehead, and my skin was pigmented and dull so i thought it would be a perfect time to try out the facial. (That aside, i think the reason of it is my fringe so I'm gonna keep my fringe long again)

I made my appointment at one of their spas at Palais Renaissance, #03-01/02 (Medical Aesthetics Spa [UK]) in the afternoon. A 5 min walk away from Shaw House.

The place had a really modern yet cosy decor and feeling. It makes a person feel relaxed - exactly what you'd want when going for a spa treatment.

I was given a pair of slippers to change into before entering the individual rooms.

The room was dim-lit, and had a very soothing and cosy feel to it entirely.

On the massage bed, there was a robe for me to change into, and there was also a cabinet for me to put my belongings, clothes, and necklace into. Yes my bag is that hugeass.

The treatment started with an essential oil back massage (about 20mins or so) before i turned over to get my facial done. Boy, was that back massage good. The theraphist, Joey (if i'm not wrong), was really attentive and asked me throughout the whole massage whether the she was being too forceful, or if it was uncomfortable. I found this really special because I am super ticklish, and she made it a point to keep away from the areas that are. After the massage, a hot towel was used to wipe away the massage oil, and it did not leave my body feeling sticky/oily.

Following the massage, I turned my body over and we got started with the facial.
First up was the calming session. I was told to take deep breaths of the essential oil to relax myslf, before Joey started with the point massage and a light scalp massage.

Joey removed my makeup and double cleansed it to make sure it's squeaky clean!

The facial started offically with a chemical peel that was left on my skin for about 2 minutes. This removes the dead cells on the surface of your skin.

It felt a little tingly during the peel, but definitely bearable. The sensation will be stronger on areas that have dryer skin. It doesn't have much of a scent.

Then, the extraction portion of the facial. I have quite a high tolerance for this sort of pain, and found this extremely bearable, except for some parts that hurt a little.

After that, I got my brows shaped and got a pressure point massage done using the KIMIA Serum, followed with the KIMIA hydra-activator.

Serum was then applied to my eyes, and they were covered with cotton pads to cover my eyes before applying the rejumask. The mask is formulated specially for each individual and mine contained traces of tea tree. It felt soothing and minty, and has a very familiar smell of tea tree.

After about 10~15minutes, Joey returned to the room to peel off the mask for me and re-cleansed my face to get rid of any residue. After that, she applied skincare products for me, and i changed back into my clothes, and was served a cup of tea with biscuits.

It is recommended that you do not put on makeup straight away after the facial to give your skin breathing space and not re-clog the pores and not that i found the need to because my skin was super glowy after the facial!

Here's how my forehead looks like after 2 weeks.

Most of the clogged pores went down, and redness is much improved. If i had the means to afford it, it will definitely be something that I will keep returning to do.

There are 2 options for the facial, the Full Facial which I did took 90minutes and will cost $220, whereas the Face Facial without the back massage will cost $160. L'Oreal Professional 2012 New Launches

Early last week, I got invited to be one of the bloggers to attend L'Oreal Professional's very first bloggers' event. L'Oreal has many branches such as L'Oreal Paris, L'Oreal Dermo Expertise, and L'Oreal Hair Expertise. L'Oreal Professionel is the line that's exclusively sold at L'Oreal expert care salons, and are professional products like the brand name suggests.

I was running a fever earlier that day but it went down awhile before the event so i managed to attend it. Didn't take much photos (even though i got my hair beautifully styled after the presentation!! D:) that day.

Initially, when i got the invitation to attend the event, i thought it was only going to be the launch of one product, the Mythic Oil, and later found out that they had a few launched lines up. You will find out more about the products as this event post proceeds as well.

We were introduced to the different products and got to take a look at the texture of the products. L'Oreal was really generous to give us a full sized set of all the products that are set to be launched!

I actually wanted to do the detailed description for each product but there'll be too much information so I'll split up the reviews separately. So this post will be just a brief writeup and explanation of the products.

The new launch consists of 7 different products, 2 of which are styling products, Mythic Oil serum, and 2 ranges of shampoo/treatment.

1. Mythic Oil (125ml, $42)

What it is:
Lightweight hair oil (serum) that contains two natural oils - avocado oil and grape seed oil that nourishes, disciplines, and illuminates all types of hair - even fine hair!
Uses:
a)As a pre-shampoo - Apply on very dry hair before shampoo. Moisture will be retained and hair feels softer and stronger after wash. (Because most shampoo tends to strip the hair of natural oils)
b)As a blow dry protective oil - Use before blow-drying. Mythic Oil delivers smoothness, suppleness, and intense shine to the hair. The emollient texture facilitates the blow dry. Hair is instantly detangled, smooth, supple, soft and intensely shiny.
c)As an excellent finishing oil - Mythic Oil provides anti-frizz protection and softness. Used after hair has been blow dried and styled. It seals the look, illuminates hair, and prevents spilt and dry end, delivering frizz control.
d)For midday restoration - When your hair is in need of a reconditioning during the day, apply 2 or 3 pumps (around 4 for my length) to give it a quick fix.

One bottle delivers 4 uses, basically $10.50 for each use! I really like the fresh scent of the oil that isn't too overpowering. I hate to use oils that have a very strong smell and this is just right and not to mention super soothing. My hair felt amazing after Gary styled my hair for me that day after the presentation, and looks at thought i came out of the salon even when I use it myself. As you girls already know from my previous Sunsilk and Lucido-L serum reviews, I've always been a big fan of using serums.

2~5. Shampoo and Mask

Just like the Mythic Oil, the two new ranges also contains natural plant oils. Plant oils are powerful nutritive and protective agents: rich in lipids and vitamins, they hydrate, soften, and form a protective film that prevents water contained in the surface of the hair or skin from evaporating, therefore preserving their moisture levels.
Both ranges are new additions into L'Oreal Professionel's Serie Nature brand. It is a brand that is positioned on the natural care market and that responds to women who are concerned about their environment, while maintaining stringent cosmetic standards. It also offers wonderful sensoriality with products inspired by the benefits of nature.

The Riche Macadamia shampoo is guaranteed sulfate-free. Sulfates are the cleansing agents generally used in shampoos. In the Riche Macadamia shampoo, the sulfates were replaced by gentler cleansing agents of plant origin. These cleansing agents create a rich form and gently cleanse the hair while respecting the hair’s lipidic film. This formula is more tolerant and doesn’t weigh down the hair.
The shell of the macadamia nut contains a kernel rich in oil, over 70%. Virgin macadamia nut oil contains 80% monosaturated fatty acids, including 63% oleic acid. Its rich content of palmitic acid also makes it an oil that prevents cellular oxidation. This anti-ageing action is one of its main uses. Macadamia oil has a restructuring effect that strengthens the film formed by lipids on the skin and hair and thus improves their hydration. It protects the cells, softens and soothes. Being extremely fluid, it is immediately absorbed and does not leave an oily film.

I've tried this personally and i found that it lathers as well as normal sulfate shampoos, but without the overly-dried feeling after shampooing! Since my hair is permed, one of my worst fears has got to be my hair getting weighed down and this leaves it absolutely airy and light! For dry-er hair, Gary told me that you can use the mask like a conditioner!
I first heard of Macadamia when i had Macadamia Nut ice cream at Haagen Danz (however is it spelt) and i just thought of it to be a yummy nut. Little did i know that it can be used for cosmetic purposes.

Couleur Botanique to offer longer-lasting hair color protection using the most natural ingredients. Studies have shown that 55% of women worldwide have colored or highlighted hair and 64% of them go to the hairdresser to have their hair colored.
Linseed oil (or flaxseed oil) is used for its polymer properties on its own or to create resins and solvents when mixed with other oils. Rich in Omega-3, linseed oil also has many medicinal benefits. Linseed oil forms an aqua-protective film around the hair fibre that helps preserve radiance and color, day after day.
I have yet to try this, but i will after i get my hair dyed next week, and I'll do a post to review both ranges (:.

It has a 3/6 holding power, and i can't try it on B yet cause his hair has yet to grow out hahaha. Shall try to see if i can use this to hold my curls as well thou!

7. Super Dust (7g, $20)

The powder is really fine and doesn't leave a white residue on dark hair when worked into the hair well (:. I have only tried using it during the event and i gotta say that it really does work. The only downside for this is that it gives a rather waxy/dryish feel afterwards, but i think it's normal for products like this to have that texture because it needs to create friction for the volume to stay.

Peripera Flash Colour Eyes (Lilac)

Amongst the big bag of CLIO Professional and Peripera products I received late last year, one of the product is the Flash Colour Eyes from Peripera.

I actually picked out mine in Gold but i received Lilac (lilac is a soft lavender-ish purple rather than the royal-purple types) instead. At first, i thought that i would end up not using this colour because although Purple is my favourite colour, I felt that it was a pretty hard colour to pull off. However, after trying it out, i realised that it is actually a pretty flattering colour for brown eyes. It does make my dark brown eyes appear brown-er as opposed to black-er.

Just like the previous Peripera products I received, the packing for the Flash Colour Eyes is impeccable. I just love how the brand incorporates all this beautiful lace details into their packaging.

The eyeshadow stick twists out, and is similar in appearance to those 'crayons' we used in Primary school that were super waxy.

I'm sorry for the lousy swatch, but I'm pretty sure it's quite apparent that the shadow contains shimmer. I like to use this on my lids and blend it out sometimes to give it a soft wash of colour. Since it is quite shimmery, it becomes quite obvious when it creases (and this does crease a little if you don't use a primer prior to application) so I'd suggest you use a primer for your eyes.
Pigmentation wise, this eyeshadow stick doesn't give you as much pigmentation as compared to the My Colour Eyes Eyeshadow but slightly makes up for it for it's ease in application - even a beginner can't go wrong with this! The colouration is buildable to a certain extent, but the pigmentation of the shadow you see won't bypass what is shown on the eyeshadow stick.

*For those who want more colour on their lids:
Apply Flash Color Eyes onto eyelid area and blend with finger. Apply one more time followed by My Color Eyes for intense effect.

December Favourites

I know this post took long enough (because in another 2 weeks I'd be preparing for my Janurary Favourites), but it's finally up :P!

I wanted to include the Peripera products because after trying them out, I really like it. But i decided not to because I don't want to double post any favourites. So just to let you girls know that the Peripera products are one of my fav in December!

First up, its a shampoo that i got from Shunji Matsuo @ 313. Caretrico Type-S shampoo, which is for permed hair.

I really like the way it smells and that it cleanses my hair well without tangling it or weighing it down. Have been using it for a good while now, and as you can see I'm nearly reaching the midpoint of the bottle. It's a clear shampoo rather than the usual creamy type and lathers really well. Been trying a couple of L'Oreal Professional products that I'm sure will end up in my Janurary Favourites so stay tuned for more haircare products coming up!

Lucidol-L CMC Hair Make Supplement Treatment Oil (Orange/Perm)

I've previously reviewed and featured
the Pink CMC Oil for Straight hair, and this works nearly as well. I went to buy this after perming my hair and passed the pink one to my sister! Again, I'm currently trying another type of hair serum from L'Oreal Professional, and I'm pretty sure you'll see it here soon!

I received another batch of products from Naruko mid last month, but have yet to review them. I've not yet tried out the other products but I've tried this and REALLY REALLY love it! I'll explain and elaborate more on the review.

Just a quick post (is this gonna even be considered a 'quick post'??) to ask you girls for your opinion! When i got my hair makeover, i got my fringe chopped off to be side-swept bangs and now it's grown out already.. and I can't decide whether to get it trimmed or grow it out again. I'm at the 'awkward' stage of growing out your fringe now ~_~. Help?

And please pardon my hair colour, haven't touched up my roots just yet!~

This weekend is Peripera weekend! Hahaha okay, kidding but yes, this is another Peripera review. 2 products technically, because when i tend to use both of these together. First up is the product which I loveeeeeee the most out of the whole bunch of Peripera products - Peripera's My Colour Lips in Pink Beige. Like i mentioned before, I got to choose the colours and I chose a soft pink-nude colour, which i absolutely love!

Impressive, I'd say. I usually read the press releases before i actually get/try the products, and now i know WHY the statistics are so impressive - because the lipstick is simply awesome. Okay, enough about me going on and on about why I really like this lipstick, here's my review so you'll all sell your souls to the Peripera My Colour Lips devil, heh.

I don't think i need to further elaborate on the packaging of this lipstick because it's beauty is shown in the pictures. I literally fell in love with the packaging because it's so girly with the lace and the intricate details. LOVE IT.
The whole lipstick is in a metallic pink 'tube' and the cap is a transparent-ish light pink with the beautiful lace details. The tube is chunkier than usual lipsticks. It also ends irregularly, which adds to the 'lace' effect.

The base of the lipstick has the Peripera brand, and the colour and code, and batch number of the lipstick is on the top of the cap.

The lipstick is really creamy and moisturizing, and gives a shiny finish such that it'd almost be like you used lip gloss as well. Even though it's a creamy formula, the lipstick isn't too soft and doesn't break apart when applying with too much force. However, since it is a creamy formula, it doesn't look good on dry lips, so do exfoliate the dead skin away! Swatches at the end of the post.

Although there really isn't a need to, i like to top it off with Wonder Kiss Gloss in Sugar Pink to give a pinkier + shimmer-ier + shinier finish. Just like the other Peripera products, this also comes with a beautiful packaging.

Just like the lipstick, this lip gloss is also chunkier than usual lip glosses, and is a longer tube as well. The applicator is just like usual lip gloss applicators, with a spongy/furry tip, and is slightly slanted

The lip gloss comes in a very pretty pink colour, and has bits of shimmer which just looks gorgeous on your lips. Especially when matched with the Pink Beige Lipstick. What i really like about the gloss is that it doesn't feel (nor look) sticky or oily. It's like the perfect lip gloss! That being said, again, make sure you exfoliate your lips because no products will look good on chapped/dry/chipped lips!

Goodbye, 2011

2011 felt like a rather fulfilling year for me. From someone who's dropped out of school without an aim, to being a beauty blogger and making new friends. I feel like I'm a step closer to my dream, even though it's still quite vague because I have no idea what I want to be, yet. I'm sure I'll find my dream and pursue it one day, and now I'll just continue my new found hobby of beauty blogging (:.

Looking back at this year, I realised that I've gain so much more than I've lost. I got a hobby, i made new friends, and i gained lots of experience from blogging - so much more than i felt like I did in school. I'm still keeping my secondary school friends like Yolanda and Charmaine close to me, but I'm really thankful for all the wonderful people I've met with in my slightly over a year of beauty blogging , thank you to everyone of you :,). (Also thank you to the wonderful sponsors and PR personnel that make an extra effort to be extra nice ^^)

I'm also very thankful for having B in my life, really. On Valentines Day 2012, We'd be together for 3 years, and we've been through a whole lot now. In 2011, we were together from you graduating to you enlisting, and in the future we'll be together for more events to come ^^. Thanks for always being there to support me in whatever I'm doing and giving me encouragement when I was down.

With a new year beginning, of course I'll be getting started on my new year's resolutions!

1. Improve my finance
I'm someone with a very bad habit of spending money, and mostly on food. Therefore, my resolution for 2012 is to save up money daily/monthly! Also, cross my fingers that I'll get a job soon :P.

2. Stay positive
I've always been someone who has a rather low self esteem (believe it or not) and I'd want to learn to trust myself more and be more positive as a whole! I've never been very confident of anything. I want to take charge of my life, and start making decisions for myself, and stop putting myself down! Self love yo.

3, Cleanse my life
I want to get rid of all the negative people in my life, and those people who always seem to pretend like they're all okay with you, but in fact they're badmouthing you at every possible chance when you turn your back. Poison 'friends', as I'd like to call them. Also, those people who befriend me with a motive, or just want to make use of me.... be gone!

4. Healthier Lifestyle
I want to start tuning my body clock back to normal and stick to a healthy (or at least healthier) lifestyle. Am thinking of starting to jog as well! Oh yes and start to drink a lot more water. That also includes eating well an sleeping well!

5. Pick up a new skill
I'm thinking of taking makeup classes or web designing classes. Anyone got good recommendations?

6. Incorporate more personal posts into my blog
Ever since I've gotten into beauty blogging, my blog has been lacking a touch of my personal life. I'm slowly trying to bring back my personal touch ;).

7. Be more organized
I have kept my blog organized (i even write down deadlines with my schedule book) and i want to keep my room organized as well. Gotta learn to declutter! And i have to learn to keep my room neat for more than a couple of days ~_~.

Well, that's probably all i could think of, haha. Ohwells, HAPPY 2012, (in a 12 hours) EVERYONE!

I'm sure this brand is now no longer a stranger to you girls. I've previously blogged an introduction to CLIO and Peripera, Korean brands which recently hit Watsons stores in Singapore, as well as featured Peripera in my November Favourites because of it's beautiful packaging that took my breath away. Today I'm going to review the 2 eye shadows that were sent to me.

Instead of like the usual reviews, I'm going to omit the ratings and instead, I'm going to be doing more of writings along with the pictures as the review proceeds. Let me know which type of reviews do you girls prefer aye!

When i was contacted for the review, i was given the chance to select the colours of the different products that I want, and for the eye shadows, the two colours i've chosen are Sheer Beige and Brown.

Yes i know they're boring colours but in my defence, i don't usually wear eyeshadow (also because i have very little lid space so they don't sit/look well on my lids) so i think a good way to get my started is to wear neutral-natural colours that can wearable daily, and will match anything i wear + match any other lip colour.

The eye shadow's packaging is pretty enough to get me to want to buy all of them even though i don't use eyeshadow often.. *facepalm*. Did i mention i have another like 5 eyeshadow palettes that are unopened as well?? *facepalm x2*

One of the reasons why it took me awhile before getting to do this review was because I didn't bear to ruin the beautiful imprint on the eyeshadow...

As you can see, the imprint that's embossed is really pretty. Just looking at this makes me happy enough *grins*. That aside, it's apparent that the powder is very finely milled.

The eyeshadow is made in Korea, which gives me assurance when using it~

True Colour and Swatches
Brown
A matte colour. I feel that it's a great colour to use to contour the eyes and even the nose!

On top is the initial swatch when using my finger, and the sheer-er bottom shade is after blending.

Sheer Beige
A shimmery cream colour that's perfect for using as a base, or a highlight colour.

The eyeshadow isn't too soft (or hard) and blends easily into the skin to give a soft and natural look, lasts for long, and the pigmentation is build able as well. The price is pretty reasonable too, going at only $7.90 each, this gives amazing colour offput and is a steal for its quality. Apparently, there are 10 shades to choose from, ranging from colours like green to hot pink. Peripera My Colour Eyes is exclusively available at Watsons.

CLIO Professional Kill Black Pen Liner & Kill Black Kill Volume Mascara

I recently reviewed the Brush Liner from CLIO Professional, and in there i mentioned about the Pen liner, which is similar to the brush liner but has a felt tip and is less flexible (similar to Maybelline's Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner). Today I'll be reviewing it, together with the Kill Volume Mascara that was sent to me.

I actually took pictures for the review after i got home, so i have a coat of mascara on my eyelashes prior to this.

Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner ($22.90)

Unlike the brush liner, this dispenses a lot more product and bleeds into the skin a little. The lines are thicker as well, but easier to control. Sometimes when lining my eye i just press the sides onto my eyelid rather than actually drawing a line!

Time to test it out!

Beginner's tip! When drawing eyeliner, start from the center out and then connect the front to the center. Trying to draw the whole line at one go is a disaster!

Pigmentation: 5/5
The colour output for this product is extremely good. One coat is enough to get that 'kill black' look!

Packaging: 4.5/5
Similar to the brush liner, this comes in the almost same packaging with a Black colour and gold wordings. This also comes with the 'spring cap'!

Versatility: 4/5
As compared to the brush liner, this is less versatile because it is unable to get lines as thin and precise as the former. That being said, this eyeliner is definitely easier to beginners to control.

Waterproof: 5/5
Waterproof-ability is the same as the brush liner's. Doesn't smudge/run/dissolve in water.

Lasting ability: 3.5/5
Again, this doesn't last well against friction or those who have oily lids. However i think that because this dispenses more product and is more pigmentated, it tends to last longer as compared to the brush liner.

Price: 4.5/5
A couple of dollars more expensive than usual drugstore brands for the same type of eyeliner.

Overall: 4/5
I would recommend this for beginners but being an intermediate user myself, i'd prefer the brush liner (also cause i don't usually wear alot of eyeliner). This is good for those who like to apply more eyeliner to give the impression of bigger eyes. (More pictures at the end of the post)

Next up, the (Kill Volume Mascara $29.90)

The brush had one flat side, and one side that was slightly more curved - to better suit the contours of our eyes.

Don't forget the bottom!

Pigmentation: 5/5
Very pigmented mascara. One coat was enough to make bottom lashes visible, and two coats just made it pop.

Packaging: 3.5/5
Not a big fan of that shade of gold because it looks quite dusty, but overall it has a chic design.

Wand design: 4/5
The wand made it easy for me to reach the lashes, but at the same time the bristles were abit too long for me to coat the bottom lashes with ease.

The product really volumized my lashes a whole lot and held the curls relatively well. It clumps a little but that's not much of a problem. Like i mentioned previously, my eyelid is slightly oily so this does tend to 'print' on my bottom lids a little aswell. Removal is swift and easy, without having to rub or tug on your lashes too much.

Honestly speaking, $29.90 is a little expensive to pay for a tube of mascara, even though this tube is bigger than mascaras usually are. This mascara will be great for people with long but thin lashes.

Will be good for those who want to get very black and visible lashes, or those who need their mascaras to last very long because they don't have the time to keep repurchasing. I'd recommend this for those with long but thin lashes because this product doesn't lengthen much.

Nude Gradient Nails

Finally a nail post after so long! Reason being i have been lazy to do my nails but i thought I'd give it a try with FACE Atelier's Shimmer (one of the products in the Holiday Gift Bag from Luxola that I'm giving away) since i got inspired to do so. The best thing about pigments is that they are really versatile and easy to use.

A small tub of pigments like this is able to last you for very long since you essentially don't need alot each time when you use them, and is very versatile since you can use it on your eyes, face, lips, and even nails!

This shimmer (as quoted from my sis) has a champange base with a peachy/bronzey feel to it and i feel that it'd go very well over a peachy nude base.

This 'tutorial' is simple - so simple that i can get both my left hand's fingernails and right hands' fingernails to both look good!
I started with applying a base coat to my nails and applied 3 coats of Essie's Naked Truth (322) to my nails and waited till it's about 90% dry. 90% dry so that your fingerprints do not show on the nail, but it's 'sticky' enough so that the pigments will stick.

I then used my finger to pick up a very small amount of the pigment (a little goes a long way because the particles are really fine) and dabbed them onto the tip of my nail, slowly pressing lightly downwards to create a gradient effect.

Finish off with top coat and you're good to go!

I love how the pigments were so easy to work with, and complimented the colour perfectly. This understated gradient nail design is suitable for any occasion, and i got it all done within 10 minutes (with fast drying top coat). For a more dramatic effect, you can top it off with clear polish that contains bigger pieces of glitter on the tip of the nail!

Lucido-L Hair Make Supplement Treatment Oil (Pink, straight hair)

Before i got my hair permed, this product served me soooo well! It only costs $15.90, and keeps your hair silky smooth and it has a very nice fruity smell. Now that my hair's permed, i went to get the Orange one that's for permed hair!

Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream

I love how this BB cream is really light and looks very natural on the skin. Plus, it blends into the skin's natural colour so the days of getting a foundation of the wrong shade is over! Still, i won't reccomend it to girls who have darker skin tones cause it might be a tad too light for you.

Maybelline's Colour Sensational Lipsticks

Love the packaging, love the texture, love the colours (there are some i have my eyes on to get next already!) and definitely loving the scent. What more do i need to say?

Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara in Black 01

This mascara is really one of the best I've ever tried. It makes my lashes sooo long and defined, and the formula is really waterproof and smudge proof. Yesterday i got it on my lower eyelid before it dried and it never was about to come off with me simply rubbing at it. *thumbsup*. Plus, it comes off easily with makeup removers and is absolutely clump free.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner in Black 01

Same as the mascara, this gives very good pigmentation and doesn't smudge or rub off easily - but comes off easily with makeup remover without staining. The tip is thin and gives very good precision and the brush is easy to control.

Maybelline's The Falsies mascara

The mascara gives good volume such that lashes are fuller and more recognisable. Plus, i love how well this actually holds my curls!

Peripera products

I haven't tried these products yet (i only got to trying CLIO's this month) but i was totally swooning over the packaging, that's why they're featured here. They're too cute to boot! *swoons*

Or was the standard of my English in this post too hard for you to understand? I suggest you go through my post again before you start saying that you don't understand anything else and go off shooting your mouth again. Then again, it's your blog, freedom of speech, hun. I have made it clear as to why i felt like it was implied, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who agreed with that.
Anyways, the point of it was that you made an unnecessary comment (haven't anyone told you if you've got nothing good to say, don't say anything?) that seemed like it carried an implied meaning, and went to made an accusation that I WAS the one that commented regarding it.

It's simple really, if you were REALLY sincere about the apology, your apology wouldn't have been a mere explanation which merely sounded like excuses you made up (well, to me at least). Actions speak louder than words, girl. After you found out it wasn't an overload of blusher, what did you do? You just let things be. You could've easily removed the accusations (of me wearing a lot of make up and about the comment on your cbox), but no, you did not.

WOW, "And like, I apologized", must be condescending for you, huh.

Just because you sent me an apology, it doesn't mean that I have to accept it. The mere reason being that it wasn't sincere, and as obviously shown in the picture above, you didn't acknowledge where you went wrong and it made me glad that i chose not to reply your 'apology'. What it was is just a half-assed email full of excuses to justify yourself that you merely copied and paste off the blog post that you posted. Am i not right to say this? What do you guys think?

So basically what is this for?

Many women don't bother about putting on sunscreen when they're exposed to UV rays but it is actually one of the factors that causes premature aging and pigmentation on the face! UV rays can penetrate through clouds and windows so it's crucial to wear sunscreen even when you're not directly exposed to the sun.

Even though this is an essence, you're supposed to use it at the last step of your skincare like you would with your usual sunscreen.

My current daily go-to sunscreen because it's fuss free and easy to use! Saves time, and i get done with it within a minute ^^. It also preps my face well before using skincare. Since this has SPF 35, you'll have to use a makeup remover to remove!

Here's gonna be a bitchy post after a loooong while. After all, I'm no Samaritan - can't expect me to love and be nice to everyone. There's a limit to everything and honey, you just freaking crossed it. I might lose a reader out of this, but its my blog. I don't blog to please anyone.

So like i mentioned yesterday, i went to run errands all day under the humid weather : meeting up with giveaway winners, collecting some stuff for the giveaway, and after that going to mail the prizes. So after i got home, I browsed a few blogs and one of them was one of the winners of my giveaway. Guess what i saw?

Yup, her blog. Freedom of speech, so fine. I got offended because doesn't it sounded to me like she's implying: "Oh, this is Yijing. She was wearing alot of makeup but i have no idea why it looked like she wasn't wearing any. Maybe she doesn't look like that without makeup"

After ripping my picture off without any credits whatsoever, she wants to go there by commenting on my make up AFTER SEEING ME FOR LESS THAN 20 SECONDS? Sure hun, BE MY GUEST. Oh yes, she also ripped off the 'ratings' (cleansing power, affordability etc) from my Meltie review previously and a few of my pictures all WITHOUT credits as well.

Honestly, i don't think I'm being oversensitive here right? I mean, was it neccessary to add in that comment about me wearing makeup? I doubt so. Plus, my makeup wasn't heavy or whatsoever. You think I'll seriously step out of the house with an inch thick of makeup? What a joke. We all know that when wearing alot of makeup, it's bound to show up on camera or whatever somehow. I was wearing "full make up" (in my book), because i usually go very easy on the foundation/bb cream by using it as concealer and setting with powder. But again, I shan't digress.

So after seeing it, i tweeted

Nothing wrong right? I didn't mention names, so only those who have a guilty conscience will think it's them right? If you didn't comment anything about me, WHY WOULD YOU THINK ITS YOU. Simple.as.that.

So today, she tweeted to me asking if it was directed at her. I didn't acknowledge or deny, because i thought to just let it pass right? But noooooo, this dear 15 year old couldn't let it down, so she went ahead and accused me of being someone that posted a comment asking her what she meant by that comment about me!

CLIO Professional Kill Black Brush Liner & Mascara

I've used products like it before and the products it is similar to is K-Palette's 24 hour Tattoo, Dollywink's Liquid Liner, Or Maybelline's Hyper Sharp Liner, to name a few.

The liner comes packed with a miniature tube of O'tank Volume Mascara.

For a long lasting look, CLIO’s Waterproof Brush Liner & Mascara Kill Black offers
1. Deep black intensity containing carbonblack - a black pigment used in eyeliners and mascara. 2. This waterproof mascara does not smudge and easily washes off without staining your eyes.
3. Brush type for drawing finely, no stimulation

I am currently using brush liners because I don't usually wear thick eyeliner, and brush eyeliners tend to give more precision (in terms of sharper tips/thinner lines) as compared to other type of liners.

Brush liners tend to dispense less product as compared to other types too, but the tricky bit is that the brush head is really flexible so it might be hard to control. Recommended for intermediate users rather than newbies.

First line: Thin Line
Second Line: Thicker Line
Third Line: Thicker Line, gone over twice

As seen by the scribble, the line is easy to control and its consistent. You can easily control whether you want a thicker or thinner line with the amount of pressure applied. I'm only gonna be reviewing the eyeliner because I haven't tried the mascara yet.

One of the thing i really liked about their eyeliner is that they have this 'spring cap' that ensures that you'll cap the eyeliner properly. The cap will 'bounce back' when the liner is not capped tightly. I hate it when sometimes i think the cap is on and it isn't, and it ends up staining my makeup pouch!! For this, you'll know its capped when you hear the 'click' sound!

(I filmed this with the pen liner, but both liners got the same type of caps!) It wasn't actually that hard to cap it, but my pointer finger didn't have enough strength to do so!

Eyeliner type: Brush Liner

Pigmentation: 4/5
Shake well before using it because sometimes the eyeliner doesn't dispense. The pigmentation is good with one layer, and you can add on another layer to get it as dark as i did in the 'swatch'.

Packaging: 4.5/5
Sleek black packaging with gold wordings. What's not to like? I really dig the 'spring cap'!

Availability: ?
Exclusively available at Watsons. Which is like everywhere? However I'm not sure whether they are in all stores yet.

Versatility: 5/5
One product to work in many ways! Can be used for daily wear, or thicken/darken the line for night or a more intense look. The versatility means that it can be used to draw designs as well, which will make it great for photoshoots! That being said, since it is Kill Black, i think it's only available in black.

Waterproof: 4.5/5
Definitely water resistant as it does not dissolve/smudge in water.

Lasting ability: 3/5
The eyeliner doesn't last very well simply because it doesn't take friction well. The swatch on my hand was gone after a few good rubs. Definitely a no-no for people who rub their eyes. That being said, it lasts at least a good 4~6 hours in aircon condition.

Price: 5/5
Such a steal for an eyeliner + mascara. Usually one set will cost you at least $35 (for good brands)

Overall: 4.5/5
Seems like a good investment. This eyeliner (+ mascara) is able to cover your basic eye makeup for a smaller amount of money than it'd normally take you to. Also, Kill Black is a dramatic, intense Kill Black look made for the inner vixen in you (hellllooooo, sexy!)

So, i chose today to try out quite a few sponsored makeup products that I'm supposed to review since I'll be travelling around today and i thought it'd be a good day to test it out but NOOOOOO mother nature had to be a bitch and made the weather all sucky ):. Running about (chinatown to club street to tanjong pagar to central) in such a weather will full-on make up (foundation/concealer/powder/eyeliner/mascara/blush/lipstick) IS NO JOKE ~____~

Okay so what really amazed me was that the makeup actually stayed on all day! No joke. Besides my lipstick because i only applied a thin layer of a darker colour and had wiped my lips after starbucks. But, I shan't digress. The main point of this post is to spam y'all with pics so here goes~

My lashes weren't very thick or long to begin with, and it didn't help with the fact that it was downright stright and fell downwards naturally instead of curling upwards.

Problem half solved with a handy eyelash curler!

Time to try it out!

The mascara had a really flexible wand that made it really easy for me to adjust for it to fit against the contours of my eyelashes without the wand being in contact with my skin. The fibers are not only to lengthen the length of my lashes, but it also ensures a mess-free removal. Remeber how we'd always seen actresses in the past cry out streaks of 'black tears' because their mascara ran? Some fibers ensure that the mascara removes in 'films' instead of smudging all over, making removal a breeze!

As you can see, a coat of the mascara is enough to make my lashes look more existent!

That's not all! The mascara holds curls up very well for long hours!

I really liked the packaging and the colour of it, but i felt that the bottle was a little chunky. Not much of a hassle for me since i usually put them in my makeup pouch.

The design of the wand was such that there was a cruved side (to fit the cotour of your eyes) and a flatter side. It's exclusive spoon curler brush really does fan out every single lash.

Product efficiency: 4.5/5
I really liked that the product was waterproof, and that it did manage to lengthen and thicken my lashes a fair bit. I really looooved how it held my curls well as well! The only down side was that since i tend to have slightly oiler lids, the mascara on my bottom lashes do tend to ''print' onto my bottom eyelid. It also removes easily, so that's not much of a problem.

Price: 4/5
As compared to the US, the price of this mascara is indeed a tad expensive. However, with that being said, this ($20.90) is actually a pretty average price for the drugstore mascaras in Singapore.

For those who want more natural-looking impact on their lashes without going OTT or those who want more dramatic lashes but don't know how to put on fake lashes, this might be the mascara for you. As i showed a sneak peek last night, you girls (and guys) would have probably know that I got my hair permed! It was sponsored by Shunji Matsuo @ 313 (#03-26) and I'm really digging the results.
Even though i still miss my straight hair, I felt that this is a fresh change since I never had permed hair before! I've also received compliments on my new hairstyle already ^^. Also, my hair stylist, Eddie (Master Stylist w/ 9 years' experience) helped me to trim, style, and layer my hair to such a beautiful shape :3. Oh yes, I also had my parting changed from the right to the left.

I was contacted by Dianah regarding the hair makeover and got an appointment made for 29th Nov, 11am and I was at the salon for a good 4 hours before leaving at 3pm. Thank god for the great atmosphere there (fresh decor, bright lighting) that made me feel really comfortable! (Special thanks to Dianah for keeping me company for the first couple of hours!)

The salon had a really bright and fresh decor that was really modern.

I had my fringe pinned up and this is the last picture of the year with my straight hair!!

The seat was really spacious and comfortable and after discussing with Eddie the hairstyle that i wanted, i got my hair washed. Ahhh the massage was soo comfortable!

Was served green tea!

Before the perming began, Eddie gave me a quick trim to get my hair into shape.

After which they applied a chemical to my hair (which lighted the colour of my dye :D) and left it to be absorbed by my hair. Thinking back, this could very well be the treatment that Eddie mentioned. (The perm doesn't include treatment, but Eddie told me a treatment will be done before the perming process begins)

Then they put cling wrap over my hair!

See some of my hair on the floor? Adios, my super long hair! One thing about the salon is that its kept really clean. Through the 4 hours I sat there, the hair on the floor was swept countless of times!

After that, got my hair rinsed off again and perming was about to begin!

Preparing preparing. Eddie suggested going with digital perm and i asked him what was the difference between that and ceramic perm. Turns out that digital perm is something like the 2nd generation of ceramic perm!

A lot of preparations were done to ensure that my perming was as comfortable as possible!

And the perming begins!

The process was a little warm on the scalp, but not to the point where it's unbearable.

I kinda forgot to take note how long it took.... sorry! m(_ _)m

Then, treatment lotion was applied and left on for about 15 minutes.

Eddie was really patient and professional when doing my hair for me, he tended to me for the whole 4 hours i was there! He even gave me tips on styling and maintaining my hair etc! My curls are smaller than i initially wanted them, but i chose this size because they will eventually loosen into the way i want them.

Obviously (and expectedly) my hair is now quite abit dryer than when i had straight hair, but what really amazed me was that my hair didn't get damaged (like fried, breakage.. y'know, the "white dots"). That being said, I'm gonna go buy the Orange CMC hair treatment oil for curly hair now ^^. Eddie told me that a treatment like mine (not sure including cut/trim or not) for my hair length will cost $380 before GST and about $360 if your hair length is around your bra strap.

Just like most of the girls out there, I'm usually more concened with skincare products than I am with haircare, even though our hair recevies more damage than our skin usually does. Every time you blow dry your hair, expose it to the sun and do chemicial treatments on your hair, your hair is going through a lot of damage that causes stress on your hair. Most of the time, the chemicals will eat through your hair and weaken the core of the hair.

When CMC (Cell membrane complex) is lost due to hair damage, cuticles and Cortex hair cells break away, reducing the water-maintaining ability of your hair - resulting in dry hair that's brittle and more prone to breakage and split ends. CMC exists among cuticles and cortex cells to help them bond with each other and works as a 'path for the water'
A cuticle protects hair from external stimulation and plays a role of holding inside substances and a cortex is a fibrous substance mainly consisting of a protein and accounts for majority (85~90%) of the hair.

Lucido-L's new Hair Make Supplement Treatment Oil contains a CMC-like ingredient that can support the inside of the hair to maintain water and create manageable hair that feels moist up to ends! In short, the CMC-like ingredients fills up the gaps in the hair so that moisture will not be lost from the hair. I got to try out the pink one which is for straight hair (they also have the orange one with a lighter formula for curled hair).

Our hair has always been an important part of our entire 'look'. Therefore, we should always try out best to make sure it's in the best possible condition!

I've recently just trimmed the ends of my hair, so there isn't much damaged ends left, but it doesn't mean that i should wait for them to happen before taking care of it! Prevention is always better than cure!

I usually do 3~4 pumps for my hair ends. To be applied on dry or towel-dried (damp) hair.

The part of hair with the treatment oil looks shinier (in a good way, not the too-oily way) and is more tamed. The oil spreads and absorb into the hair really quickly and doesn't have an oily feeling. I'm not sure how much this retails for, since i got this in a goodie bag as well. I really like the floral scent of it and it feels nice and fresh without being overpowering. Lucido-L products are available at Watsons!

Kiss Me Heroine Make Impact Eyelash 06 (Lower Lash)

Another lash review today! This time, it's Kiss Me Heroine Make Impact Eyelash 06 (Lower Lash).

Among that line of Japanese words, I'm sure you girls can spot the words '自然' which basically means 'Natural' in Chinese. Therefore, this makes a good beginner pair as well.

The thought of wearing false lower lashes was actually quite taunting for me because i felt that it would never suit me. After wearing it out for the first time when i went out with Himeko and Tsuriki previously, I received compliements on them I never wore them out more than 3x again because it was quite a hassle for someone lazy like me. Plus, the parts of the lashes were individual and it was hard to get the desired eye shape I want. Now that I got more confidence in my applying-falsies skill, I decided to try it again today!

1.5/4 length, 1/4 volume. Relatively natural pair.
As you can see in the picture of the eye on the back of the box, the bottom lashes adds a sense of 'cuteness' and drama to the eyes. Also, noticed how it managed to change the shape of the eye more than compared to usually without the fake lashes? With the fake lashes, it mimics the shape of the eye better (since the bottom of our eyes have lashes as well) and completes the illusion. It also helps to lengthen the eyes when you don't trim off the excess (like i did).
This pair of bottom lashes are actually quite long at the ends, but no problem to pull off it you're wearing full make up. (I suggest when using fake bottom lashes to use top lashes as well so as to balance out the eye better. If you're curious, I was wearing a pair of Dollywink No.6 with a bit of the ends trimmed off cause my eyes weren't that long). P/s: Whenever trimming lashes, always trim from outside instead of the inside!

The lash has a criss-cross design and has a transparent band (+ natural points!)

As you can see, that was the way i *treid* to lengthen my eye. It did work, but it wasn't perfect. Well, I'd say i did pretty well for a 5th(?) timer!

Although a full-on set of fake lashes might be a bit intimidating for some, this pair actually looks a lot more natural that I'd expected it to be.

Lash type: Bottom lashes. Natural

Design: 4/5
Because the lashes have a criss-cross design, they tend to come off shorter than the full length one. Also, it gives a more natural illusion as our lashes are not entirely straight. The important thing for natural-type bottom lashes for me is that the band must be transparent so I won't have to line my bottom eyelid.

Comfort: 4/5
Not much needs to be explained that surely having falsies on will be less comfortable than without, but this pair feels barely-there. It's light and feels really soft.

Ease of use: 3/5
For first timers, this is not the easiest pair to work with. I had to try it a few times before knowing where to stick it properly for my desired eye shape. Also, i didn't trim it cause i was unsure how to.

Price: ??
I'm not sure of the price because this was given to me in the goodie bag.

Overall: 3.75/5
A good starter pair for those who wants to try wearing bottom lashes. They give enough length and volume to be noticed, without going over the top. Plus, comfort is really important in lashes. Practise makes perfect when it comes to ease of use! ^^

Sounds good eh? Now to put the BB cream to the test.

The BB Cream comes double sealed, and i like it cause its more hygienic that way.

Just like usual BB creams, you can just apply it and blend it into your skin with your fingers. Dispense a small amount onto your fingertips. This amount is enough for light coverage all over the face.

Even though it looks a little light, its cause I was using my macro ring light and this is freshly applied.

Here's how it looks after awhile (after oxidisation)

Really soft and natural! Under sunlight, it looks very natural, controls oil well and blends to match my natural skintone. The coverage of the BB cream is light~medium, which i feel is perfect for people who want to have a more natural look. Great for daily work/school use (for poly girls please: primary/secondary school girls should not be wearing makeup to school) as the BB cream does not contain any bits of shimmer. The Lovely Girl BB cream stays on my face well, and gives me a radiant finish. It does make the appearance of pores seem smaller as well.
The only thing about it is that i feel that it gives a dewy finish instead of matte.

The BB cream actually has a peachy undertone which will even out your skin tone without washing you out, which i feel is really perfect!

It has quite a liquidy texture, but is thick enough for it to hold it's form and not drip everywhere.

It blends out really quickly and smoothly, without having to use blending sponges or brushes.

Standard for most BB creams, it only comes in one shade that might be too light for people with darker skin tones. I'm rather fair (M.A.C Medium or NC20/25) and this blends into my skin really perfectly and seamlessly.

I haven't really been a big fan of the previous BB creams because they were quite expensive for me (at that time) and i didn't want to commit to such a big bottle. This however is really affordable (again, for teens) at only $21.90 for 50g. You only need a little each time so trust that this bottle will last you a long time. The Lovely Girl BB Cream is exclusively available at Watsons Stores Islandwide. This has now become my go-to choice of BB cream!

Just got my November Bellabox around last week and here's an overview of it!

They came in the same boxes as they did previously, so i can chuck the damaged one away and keep the new one :P.

So far I've tired the OCC liptar (loving it btw. Gives the pigmentation of lipstick and the ease of use is as easily as lipgloss!) and the Love Shampoo and Conditioner. At first look, I was more excited with this as compared to October's cause it contains a mask and the liptar. What i didn't like was the Love Shampoo/Conditioner cause they smell like clothes-washing powder! ):. Haven't tried the other products yet though, hopefully they're up to standards :3.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Impact Eyelash 22 (Partial Lash: Natural Volume)

Lookieeee, my very first Eyelash review! I'm not usually a big fan of fake lashes, and the only pair that i use is Dollywink's No. 6. When i went for Bifesta's blogger party, they gave us a generous goodie bag with 3 pairs of lashes, and I've really come to grow fond of this pair.

As seen from the values above, length 1/4 and volume is 3/4. Since the edge of this pair of lashes really add volume, they're really suitable for people who want to try a different eye shape or change the way their eyes look. For me, i like to use it because it really opens and lengthens my eye.

The eyelash is a very natural-looking pair, and is a partial lash. The band of the lash is transparent, making it even more natural-looking. The band is really thin and soft and is very easy to use and it feels really comfortable on your eyes. (Barely feels like its there!)

The lash doesn't have much curl either, adding on to the natural look.

I had mascara applied prior to applying the lashes, and as you can see, they blend in nearly seamlessly. The strands on the eyelash are really fine and this pair of lash is really light.

Design: 4/5
Since it's partial lash, there's not really a need to cut it - you just adjust it in accordiance to how far you want it out. The lashes are straight on (not criss crossed) and looks really natural as the volume goes in a 'gradiant' form (going thinner to thicker).

Comfort: 4.5/5
Of course fake lashes will tend to be more uncomfortable than not wearing any, but this pair is really light and the band is very comfortable. Got the barely-there feel.

Ease of use: 5/5
It was really easy to use and unlike full pairs, you don't have to measure the lashes and cut it. Since the band is really flexible, you don't have to worry about it shifting away when you're pasting it down onto another part of your eye, or it not fitting the contour of your eye.

Price: ??
I'm not sure of the price because this was given to me in the goodie bag.

Overall: 4.5/5
Definitely good for people who want to give fake lashes a try and don't want to go full-on. It enhances your eyes very well.

Yet another product sponsored by TSS for me to review! They make me feel so loved haha. Okay, so anyway, we all know my skin's been pretty bad lately. After finally getting my skin back into better condition, it decided to break out again because its nearly THAT time of the month. Fml... #stabsself.
Okay, that aside.. that's the reason why i didn't want to take pictures for this post, cause my skin looked so bad when i was taking the pictures when i received them):. Not that the product doesn't work, but products like this takes a period of time to see results, and i only began to use it after i was done with my Elicina review.

I'm sure most of you had heard of Eurcerin's DermoPURIFYER range before, and this brand should not be a stranger to you as it's pretty well known. Eucerin came up with 3 new products to add into their existing DermoPURIFYER range!

Following are the products I received!
Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Concentrate (30ml $29.90)

The concentrate has a light and watery consistency, and has a clinical smell to it. It glides onto your skin and absorbs very quickly. One pump is enough for the entire face! This is to be applied as a serum, before the moisturiser and after cleansing.

What I like
The consistency. It's really light and absorbs nearly immediately. Leaves my skin feeling velvety (not sticky nor oily) smooth and gives a matte finish. Works well as a makeup base too. For people with really oily skin, you can just choose to only use this and skip the moisturizer!
I've expressed my love for pumps countless of times, so I don't think i need to elaborate anymore on this haha.
What I don't
The scent is not really pleasent, but doesn't smell bad either. Since it doesn't have added fragrances, we can only blame the ingredients. Not much of a problem for me since the scent doesn't seem to linger once the concentrate is absorbed.

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Night Care (50ml $25.90)

The night care is a cream-based night moisturizer that is to be used after the concentrate. The product spreads onto your skin and melts into it really quickly. It gives a matte finish and has that same clinical smell as that of the concentrate.

What I like
The consistency as well. It has a rather silky touch to it and leaves your skin looking matte and flawless and feeling smooth. It comes double sealed which makes it more hygenic.
What I don't
The scent again. It has that same clinical scent, and again it doesn't linger for long so its not a big problem

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Hydrating Care (50ml $25.90)

The hydrating care is a light yellow cream for day use after the concentrate as a moisturizer. It's consistency is in between the concentrate and night care. It also gives a matte finish but takes longer than the previous two to absorb.

What I like
Amongst all 3 products, this product mattifies your face the best. Probably since it is for day and is really good for students who have oily skin - makes your skin look great before school haha.

What I don't
The pump - in this case, the pump doesn't allow me to control how much of the product i want dispensed. Maybe due to the fact that i dispensed too much, i found that it didn't absorb quickly and left a powdery/sticky film over my skin when i over massaged it ):.

Last week i was invited by Dennis to attend Sophie Monk's Event at NAC's newly opened Guardian. The event was held at the new guardian (not the one new to Watsons, but the new one near Crystal Jade)

I met with Tiph first before we headed over to Guardian where the event was.

There were booths decorated nicely in pink and Dennis showed us some of the Sophie Monk products.

Sophie Monk products are exclusive to Guardian only, so you won't be able to get it elsewhere!

The highlight of the event was actually Makiyo's appearance! Makiyo is Sophie Monk's Brand Ambassador and is half japanese and half Taiwanese - I always thought she was a Japanese who was really fluent in Chinese! She's really petite IRL but her skin is TO DIE FOR. Goshhhhhh. If that's the result of using Sophie Monk products I'll definitely switch to get her skinnnn~~

There were so many people crowding around her and cameras snapping, i felt just like a paparazzo!

Well, that's about it for the event..... We were each given a box of mask containing the 5 different types of mask Sophie Monk has. I didn't take a picture of it.. but in case you're curious, i did take a picture with it during the event!

Breakfast Buffet @ Cocotte

Late last month, B and I celebrated our unofficial anniversary with an extravagant breakfast. Not very expensive in general, but expensive enough for breakfast!
$25/pax breakfast buffet at Cocotte!

For the breakfast, we got to choose one main of our choice each and there were free flow drinks, bread, and cereals. We chose our mains and we each got a croissant.

Though this doesn't look much more special from other croissants, trust me when i say its reaaaaally good and possibly the best i ever had. The exterior of the croissant is nice and crispy, but not to the point where it'd shatter like a biscuit when you bite into it, and really nice and soft like how fresh bread should be. Then, midway into the croissant, you'd get a savory buttery taste that's major yums!

My cereal

Unlike the ones commercially sold, this is not laden with sugar and just tastes really good! I had corn flakes and something else idk the name of.

B's Maple Bacon Pancakes

He said this was so filling! I'm not really a big fan of maple syrup so i didn't try much of his, but the pancakes were really light and fluffy, but dense at the same time.

My main! Scrambled eggs (you can choose sunny side up or poached) with bacon (or you can choose sausages) with sauted mushrooms and grilled tomato.

BEST EGGS I EVER HAD. Omg i want this nowwwww. The mushrooms were really yummy as well (trust me, this is coming from me, someone who doesn't usually eat mushrooms) and the tomato had a nice grilled flavour. The acidity made it more appetizing for me (i don't usually have tomatoes as well). Filling as well, but i totally finished it all. Believe it or not, the least favourite on my plate was actually the BACON. And bacon's supposed to be one of my favourite food. Imagine how good everything else was. Salivating as I'm writing this post gosh. Can't wait to go back soon!

It's a really natural pinkish coral colour, and it looks sooo good! It'll definitely compliment tons of different skin tones!

And, Plum Perfect (The perfect fall colour!)

I really like how this colour adds a hint of sexiness and mystery into my look, so i used it for halloween! Colours like this are not conventionally bought or worn in Singapore, so here's a video on how you can make ONE colour like this work in 5 different ways!

Packaging: 4.5/5
I really like the packaging and how its classified into each category. The only downside about it is that the packaging tends to get a lot of fingerprints sticking to it, so -0.5 on that.

Scent: 5/5
I really really like the scent on this because it isn't too sweet.

Texture: 4.5/5
I super love the creamy and silky smooth texture of the lipstick, and the finish it gives and how it feels on my lips. However, the colour does not stay for very long. That being said, i totally dig how the colour (even the dark ones) does not stain my lips.

Colour offput: 5/5
The colour offput is strong and as opaque (or even darker) than you'd see on the stick itself. The colour is simply gorgeous. I've tried all 4 of the colours and they'll definitely be something i'd wear out!

Price: 4.5/5
Since i don't usually buy lipsticks, (I'm usually more of a lipbalm person) this is a little pricey for me as compared to my lipbalms. However, my staple lipstick is from M.A.C and this is definitely cheaper for nearly the same or even better quality.

Previously, i shared a picture of my break out from trying a new product.

A clump of pimples popped out and was really inflamed - not a nice sight, but a perfect chance for me to put Elicina Plus to the test. After about 2 weeks, this is what it became..

The inflammation went down and the scars did get lighter (I always get scars from pimples cause i like to pick at them!! Bad habit, i know).

Another good thing about Elicina is you can also use it on your body!
Directions as follows
FACE: Apply a small amount twice a day on previously cleaned skin. Afterwards moisturizer can be applied if necessary. People with greasy complexion have the option to use only Elicina since it doesn’t contain moisturizer. Due to the fact that Elicina is non-greasy and has a rapid absorbsion, people may wear make-up immediately after applying Elicina.

SKIN: Apply twice a day using a small amount. It doesn’t stain clothes nor skin in direct contact to sunlight. It doesn’t contain perfume or colorants. You’ll notice from the moment you apply on your skin a thin white film that absorbs in seconds. There is no need to massage, just apply as you would any cream and it will begin to work on your skin.

Simple classic packaging, which will look good on any vanity.

Scent: 4.5/5
This doesn't have any added scents either, but the cream smell is really strong. Again, unless you're sniffing it right from the source, you won't smell it when its on your face.

Effectiveness: 3.5/5
It did a good job of lightening the scars and making it less inflamed, but i felt that it clogs the pores around my nose area. Therefore, when using this, i only apply it on the affected areas.

Price: 4/5
$49 for 40ml is not cheap, especially for people around my age. However, if you have really sensitive skin and are using products from a dermatologist, you'd find that this should be a cheaper alternative. Also, apart from it, this is multi-purpose and can double as an anti-aging product.

Lovemore's Aqua Damascus Rose & Arbutin Whitening Mask

The mask is really thin and moisturizing and really brightens my skin! Loving the material and essence so much.

Vichy's Normaderm Tri-active anti-imperfection hydrating care.

I really like the matte texture the product gives and how well it does to smoothen out my face. Works pretty well as a makeup base too ^^.

Vichy's Normaderm Tri-Active Cleanser

Really loving this product! What i do (as Wyman told us) sometimes is to cleanse it like i'm using the cleanser, and leave on to dry! Get all 3 effects in one hehe. It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple, and super clean!

Vichy's Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel

Instead of using it the way it's recomended, i actually use this with my Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool. I really like how it cleanses deeply (maybe due to my tool) but is really gentle on my skin. Leaves it feeling sooooo fresh!

Life Nutrition Supplements

Of course since its not like i'm doing checkups everyday, I won't know exactly how well the supplements are working. However, with the acai berry, I can see visible results that my skin is improving!

Hada Labo's Cleansing Oil

I love this cleanser to bits i swear! Super good for the days where i'm wearing really thick makeup and want a quick removal and get to bed asap!

Twistbands

Totally digging the fact that it doesn't leave a mark on my hair. I hate days when its really hot and i can't tie my hair up cause my hairties makes a dent in my hair and i'll have to have my hair up for the rest of the day. Nope. Those days are GONE!

That's about it for my October favourites! There are a few products that i got this month but haven't got to trying it (or taking pictures for it) yet, so they'll probably be up on Novembers Favourites ^^.

Hada Labo Cleansing Oil

Ever since i started using (and removing) makeup, one of my worst enemies were oil-based removers. I used them cause they were effective, but they ALWAYS left my face feeling oily even fter rinsing off and clog my pores! Sometimes, they don't even go away after i double cleanse, so it gets really bothersome.

So you must definitely be thinking, so why the hell am i still using oil-based removers right?
Ans: They are more effective in quickly removing waterproof makeup.

It's simple really: waterproof makeup are formulated to resist water, and therefore can't be removed by the water particles. (I know that there are now new formulas that removes with warm water, but they don't tend to stay on as well as compared to those that are fully waterproof. And the warm water doesn't ALWAYS remove as well either.) Whereas the waterproof makeup are soluable in oil-based removers.

Usually (or as far as i have seen) oil-based removers are for point removal (think eye&lip makeup remover) so they don't tend to be able to remove facial makeup as well as they do with eye and lip and they are usually separated into the oil and the solvent layers.

Hada Labo's Brand New Cleansing Oil is Formulated with high purity Olive Oil to help to gently remove dirt, oil and heavy makeup effortlessly. It is a 1-step makeup remover that can also remove tough, waterproof mascara and eyeliner.

Putting it to the test
Since i just celebrated halloween yesterday, i had an insane amount of eye makeup on me (by my standards, that is). However, I already know how well it does cleansing (i used this to remove my makeup too when i was trying out the looks previously) so this was a good chance for me to take pictures to show y'all.

Newly applied

Because we went to eat after trick-or-treating, I removed my lipstick before that so when i got home, this were the only makeup i had on left. (Wasn't wearing foundation yesterday at all)

1~2 pumps is sufficient for my whole face.

Unlike usual removers, you'll not need a cotton pad/wool for this. Simply dispense onto your palm and massage into your face.

And all this took less than..... 30 seconds!!

The only reason it didn't remove some makeup on my bottom lash line was because i had my eyes closed during the cleansing process. You can simply clean it off with a really small amount (like a light tap on the pump) by massaging it off while looking upwards.

Cleansing power: 5/5
This cleanses exceptionally well, i was amazed at how easily and quickly it removed my makeup!

Scent: 4.5/5
Hada Labo has never added any scents or fragrances into their products, but this is the natural scent of the olive oil. I don't really like the scent, but you won't be able to smell it while you're using it. It's only prominent if you sniff at it directly.

Price: 5/5
$20.90 for 200ml. This is really cheap and the product can last you for quite awhile. Students should really try it.

Ease of use: 5/5
Since this is a one step remover, i felt that it works really well especially on days when i'm really tired or my face is with heavy makeup. The only reason why it didn't a -0.5 was because even though it was unable to remove the makeup on my bottom lashes well, this product doesn't hurt or sting my eyes when in contact with my eyes!!

After-feel: 5/5
Just like some people, i would prefer to double cleanse after using my removers because they don't really give a clean after-feel. This doesn't give me a reason to want to double cleanse. It leaves my face feeling smooth and supple and fresh. This doesn't leave your face oily or sticky, and washes off completely with WATER (because its water-soluble) Uber loves.

Consistency: 4.5/5
The oil-y consistency doesn't both me, but some will still prefer not to use oil-based removers because of the way it feels on your skin.

Avaliability: 5/5
Avaliable exclusively at Watsons stores islandwide. This is really convenient considering there are Watsons nearly everywhere in Singapore.

Overall: 4.75/5
Definitely will repurchase. This gets rid of both light and heavy makeup so well in so little time! However, i'm not sure if this will work for everyone because it is an oil based cleanser, it might be too oily for people with acne-prone skin.
